With their current director departing for Utah, the Dublin Community Center has decided to rebrand the position and split it in two.

The Community Center is currently seeking applications for a part-time program coordinator. Community Center board member Traceymay Kalvaitis said Monday the center is looking for someone who will plan and coordinate programs, manage the office and facility, and work with the board.

“We definitely appreciated her efforts,” said Kalvaitis, of departing director Bridget McFall.

McFall, in a series of Facebook messages Monday, said she and her family are leaving as she and her husband have taken new jobs in Utah. McFall said she told the board she would stay on until they found someone or Aug. 1, whichever came first.

“We missed the west, went on a family road trip and decided it was time,” said McFall, who said her family lived in Utah for 12 years prior to moving to Dublin three years ago.

McFall said she will miss working with the people that came to the Community Center and their stories the most.

“The Community Center was an amazing place to meet people of all walks of life in and around Dublin and when I was able to get out and listen, it was refreshing to hear peoples life stories,” said McFall. “Many seemed to come to the center as a home away from home. I will miss the energy that each person brought to the center and look forward to watching its continued success from a distance.”

Kalvaitis said the decision to rename the position came from discussions about making it sound more like a part-time position, and the decision to split the position in two. The Community Center will also be seeking a grant writer for the purpose of finding better ways to fund the center.

“Being a nonprofit, we are always trying to find ways to get funding,” said Kalvaitis, who said the center most recently received a $4,800 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation for computers.

Those wishing to apply for the position may do so by sending a resume and cover letter to the board at dubhubsearch@gmail.com.

Applications will be accepted until July 16.
