Town Administrator Kelley Collins accepted a position last week and will be leaving the town of Greenville.

She is beginning a new post as town administrator to Wakefield, New Hampshire, on April 10, three weeks from this coming Monday.

She will work in Greenville through the end of March, and the first week of April if needed.

“I will be available to the office and the board,” she said.

Greenville’s Board of Selectmen held a special meeting Monday to discuss Collins’ resignation and the process for naming a replacement. They did not set a timeline, but according to Collins went into a nonpublic session to discuss the candidates.

“They want to do this as fast as possible,” Collins said.

Wakefield is a town of 5,078 as of the 2010 census, roughly the population of Greenville’s neighbor New Ipswich. It is located on the Maine border at the southernmost reach of Carroll County.
