MILFORD — Barbara May (Tucker) Babine, 81, of Milford died July 14, 2010, in Milford.
She was born on April 6, 1929, in Concord, a daughter of Ruhia (Huckins) Tucker Buzzell and Allyn Tucker.
She grew up in and around Concord and graduated from Concord High School in 1949. Barbara married Maurice J. Babine in 1950 and they resided in Milford for many years.
Barbara was a housewife for most of her life and occasionally worked at Hick’s Jewelers in Milford. She liked to embroider, was an avid knitter and knit many beautifully patterned sweaters for her family. She loved all animals, especially dogs; her favorites were golden retrievers and German shepherds. In addition, she faithfully fed the birds for many years.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Maurice J. Babine, who died in 2002.
She is survived by her children, William M. Babine and his wife, Susan Babine, of Goffstown and Maureen B. Cullinan and her husband, Steven Cullinan, of Temple; a granddaughter, Maryanne V. Cullinan and her husband, Mark Schaub, of Antrim; a grandson, William J. Cullinan of Temple; and a great-granddaughter, Keira Mae Schaub of Antrim.
Barbara will be buried beside her husband in a private service at Riverside Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Sol Amor Hospice, 65 LaFayette Road, Suite 302, North Hampton 03862.
