CONCORD — Carol L. Dutton, 65, of Deering and formerly of North East, Pa., passed away suddenly Aug. 12, 2010, in Concord.

She was born Aug. 18, 1944, in Erie, Pa., the daughter of the late George I. and Louise C. Steffen Dutton.

Dutton graduated from Gettysburg College in 1966 and went to work as a linguist for the U.S. government, working for the National Security Agency for 20 years.

Dutton is survived by her sister, Evelyn Stoddard and her husband John of Pittsfield, Pa.; four nephews, George, John, Jeff and James Stoddard; and her step mother, Hertha Dutton of North East, Pa.

A graveside service will take place tomorrow at North East Cemetery in Pennsylvania. Her nephew, Pastor John Stoddard, will officiate. A memorial service for Dutton will also be held at the Good Sheppard Lutheran Church in Peterborough on Aug. 20 at 2 p.m. Rev. Kenneth Johnson will officiate.
