Cecile T. Banks

NEW IPSWICH — Cecile T. Banks, 54, of Moose Drive, died June 17, 2010 at UMass Medical Center Campus, Worcester, Mass., after a courageous three-year battle with lymphoma.

She was born in Peterborough on Nov. 26, 1955, the daughter of Ronald J. and Theresa B. (Bergeron) Vaillancourt. She was raised in Greenville and had been a resident of New Ipswich since 1991.

She had been employed for a period of time at Millipore Corp. Jaffrey. Prior to her work at Millipore, she babysat for several area families.

She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 13 of Greenville. She loved traveling, camping, animals, NASCAR racing, and especially her family and friends.

Besides her parents of Ormand Beach, Fla., she is survived by her husband of 25 years, Robert V. Banks of New Ipswich; a stepdaughter, Candace M. Lemon of Charleston, S.C.; two grandchildren; three brothers, Gerard P. Vaillancourt, Edward R. Vaillancourt, and Maurice J. Vaillancourt, all of New Ipswich; two sisters, Monique C. Coll of Jaffrey and Jacqueline L. Beausoleil of New Ipswich; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by a brother, Norman R. Vaillancourt, in 2005.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Greenville. Cremation followed.

The Fournier Funeral Home of Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
