GREENVILLE — Ernest E. Oaks Sr., 65, of Titan Lane, died May 22, 2010, at Monadnock Community Hospital.

He was born in Dante, Va. on Feb. 3, 1945, the son of George W and India S. (Amburgey) Oaks. He had lived many years in Ayer, Mass., and for the past seven years in Greenville.

He had a great love for the outdoors, especially the beach, mountains and his garden. He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Deane) Oaks of Greenville; a son, Ernest E. Oaks Jr. of Greenville; two grandchildren, Felecia L. Oaks and Michael R. Oaks both of Shirley, Mass.; two great grandchildren, Kodiac M. Kucala and Dakota S. Kucala, both of Shirley; a sister, Gaye McCullen of Edgewater, Fla.; many nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A family gathering will be held at a later date at the family home. He will be greatly missed and will always remain in everyone’s hearts.
