PETERBOROUGH — With such sadness, we mourn the loss of our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, Ernestine Blodgett Phipps, who passed away June 21, 2010 at the age of 69 from complications of Parkinson’s disease, after a long and brave battle.

A graduate of Peterborough High School, Ernie attended Clark University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Minnesota.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Phipps; her sister and brother-in-law, Meredith Poppele and Richard Poppele; her children, Victoria Capon, Dana Kendrick and Abigail Capon, as well as her stepchildren and many grandchildren who all love her.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Peterborough Unitarian Church on July 10. The time has not been decided.
