NASHUA — Gertrude C. (Brouillet) Dube, 89, a resident of Courville of Nashua, died July 4, 2010, at her residence after a period of failing health.
She was born in Greenville on Oct. 20, 1920, the daughter of Louis and Georgianna (LaPree) Duclos. She was raised in Greenville and she had been a resident of the Hudson and Nashua area since 1968.
She was employed for a period of time by the former Florence Mill of Greenville and later by New Hampshire Ball Bearings of Peterborough. She was also a homemaker. She loved cooking, cross-stitching, sewing, crocheting, reading, and especially being with her family.
She was a former member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Greenville, having served on the former ladies guild and St. Anne society. She was also a member of St. Joseph Church of Nashua and served on many church related organizations.
She is survived by a son and his wife, Gerard and Barbara Brouillet of New Boston; a daughter, Marie E. Joyce of Nashua; six grandchildren, Roger. Ray, Eric, Betsy, Karen and Rhonda; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews; and also the Columb family, who were very special to Gertrude.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Omer A. Brouillet; two sons, Omer J. Brouillet and Maurice Brouillet; one brother and three sisters.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the St. Joseph Church in Nashua on Friday, at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Louis de Gonzigue Cemetery, Nashua.
