ANTRIM — Jeanne Clara Titcomb, 79, of Old Carr Road in Antrim, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough following a period of failing health.

She was born April 14, 1930, in Torrington, Conn., the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary E. (Arnott) Sparks.

She was a graduate of Torrington High School and had lived in Bolton, Conn., before moving to Antrim 35 years ago.

Jeanne retired from Eastern Mountain Sports in Peterborough in 1998; previously she had been employed by Brookstone. During her years in Bolton, she was a member of the Bolton Congregational Church and had also worked at the church office.

Jeanne loved and was loved by her family and friends.

She was married to Robert Nelson Titcomb; he died July 24, 1992.

Family members include her two daughters, Cheryl Wilder and her husband, Bob, of Peterborough; Roberta Titcomb of Victorville, Calif.; her son, Glen Titcomb and his partner, Sue Hill, of Antrim; five grandchildren, Mark Bemont and his wife, Maria, of Peterborough, Brian Bemont and his wife, Megan, of Falmouth, Mass., Danielle Wilder of Fort Collins, Colo., Tammy Wilder of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Megan O’Donnell of Southwick, Mass.; two great-grandchildren, Riley Bemont and Morgan Bemont, both of Peterborough; three sisters, Janet Benoit of Keene, Joan Genevese and Edna Weingart, both of Harwinton, Conn.; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by four other sisters, Gertrude Zoffallato, Adelelaide Cisowski, Grace Milanese and Margaret Brown.

As per her request, there will be no calling hours or formal funeral service at this time.
