PETERBOROUGH — Norman C. Philibotte, 84, went to his heavenly home on June 12, 2010, after a long illness.

He was the husband of Phyllis C. Philibotte, with whom he would have celebrated 63 years of marriage on July 5, 2010. They were blessed with three children.

He was the son of the late Clyde and Louise (Freeman) Philibotte. He was born in Palmer, Mass., on Dec. 29, 1925. He attended school in Palmer, graduating in 1943. After graduation he entered the Coast Guard and served active duty in Okinawa and Guam.

He worked for Henley Lundgren Construction Company in Shrewsbury, Mass., before forming Nor’easter Builders in Falmouth, Mass. He loved his work and took pride in a good job.

His passions were building, sailing, skiing, lending a hand where needed and serving the Lord. He was blessed with 40 years of living on and enjoying the waters of Cape Cod.

He was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Palmer, an active member in Falmouth Baptist Church in Falmouth, Mass., and a member of Monadnock Congregational Church in Peterborough.

He leaves his children, David Philibotte of Lakeland, Fla.; Karen Philibotte of Peterborough and James Philibotte of Harrison, Maine; his grandchildren, Jason Philibotte of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Arielle Philibotte of Falmouth, Mass.; his sister, Shirley Plotczik; brother-in-law Richard Plotczik; nieces Lee Ann Shepka, Lynn Plotczik and nephew Richard Plotczik.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father and friend. He blessed the lives of those who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Monadnock Congregational Church, 20 Wilton Road, Peterborough, with the Rev. Tim Jantos, pastor, officiating. Burial will be private for the family in Pine Grove Cemetery in Woodsville.
