Ruth M. Cramb

Rindge woman, 69, worked at NHBB, Millipore

RINDGE — Ruth M. Cramb died Oct. 9, 2009, at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Jaffrey after a period of failing health.

She was born Aug. 13, 1940, in Wilmington, Vt., the daughter of Christopher and Rachel (Perkins) Rathburn. She was a 1959 graduate of Narragansett High School in Templeton, Mass.

Ruth had worked for many years at N.H. Ball Bearings Co. in Peterborough. She later worked at Millipore in Jaffrey and eventually retired after working at New England Business Service Inc. in Peterborough.

Ruth dedicated her life to her family. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and crafts of all kinds. She especially loved to make all sorts of crafty things for and with her beloved grandchildren. She was a longtime member of the Fitzwilliam Sportsman’s Club.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Myrtle Rathburn Whisted, in 1983, and by her brother, Warren Rathburn, in 2007.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Donald Cramb of Rindge; her daughters, Julie Pillsbury and Sandra Rathburn, both of Jaffrey; her sons, Christopher Cramb of Winchendon, Mass., Timothy Cramb of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Donald Cramb of Jaffrey; 22 grandchildren; one great-grandson; her brothers, Carl Rathburn of Keene and Donald Rathburn of Baldwinville, Mass.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

At Ruth’s request there will be no calling hours or services at this time.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in Hillside Cemetery in Rindge and will be announced.
