RINDGE — Sandra (Hall) Speros, 78, of Rindge, formerly of Sherborn, Mass., died Sept. 1, 2010, in Winchester, Mass. after a lengthy illness.
Born in Cambridge, Mass., she graduated from Rogers Hall School, Colby Sawyer Junior College and Boston University.
She initiated Girl Scouts in the town of Sherborn. She was an active volunteer in the Dover Sherborn school systems and the Sherborn Council on Aging, and Garden Club.
She was also a member of the Rindge Woman’s Club and the Monomonac Lake Sailing Association.
She was happiest in her garden, cooking and entertaining friends and family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur C. Speros; loving mother of Cynthia and her husband, J.D. Hale of Winchester, Dudley and his wife, Carol-Ann Speros of Westport, Conn., Susan Hall Perry and her husband, Adam Perry, of Medfield, Mass.; sister of Arthur Dudley Hall of Orleans, Mass.; cherished grandmother of Catie Speros, Renee and Julia Perry, Lacey, Rosie and Charlie Hale; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service at the Parish of the Epiphany Church, Winchester, on Friday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
