Eagle Scout receives plaque
Sean Campbell of Antrim, member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 2, was recognized for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout by the American Legion Post 50.
Campbell is among the select few who have achieved this award, recognizing the characteristics of initiative, courage, resourcefulness and leadership.
Since 1913 Boy Scout Troop 2, Antrim has helped young men in a disciplined environment teaching the fundamental principles of nature, conservation and basic survival skills. By achieving the rank of Eagle Scout Campbell has demonstrated exemplary discipline, talent and ingenuity.
American Legion Post 50 has sponsored Troop 2 since 1931, and Campbell is the 18th scout to receive this award since the Troop was established. Post 50 is one of the original chartered posts formed in 1919 when the American Legion was founded.
Campbell is the son of Bennington Police Chief Steven Campbell.
