Children and the Arts benefits the community
It may be only March but to the committee members of the Children and the Arts Festival, May 17 is just around the corner.
This year’s theme is “Fairies, Dragons, and Other Mythical Creatures,” which should offer local children and professional performers a myriad of ways to showcase their unique talents.
In honor of the festival’s 21st year, Children and The Arts organizers have come up with a list of 21 reasons for community members to support this community event, which include:
There’s nothing like it in New Hampshire; It’s run entirely by volunteers; All the private and public schools in the district participate; It’s a great collaboration between local arts organizations; It’s an important thread in our community fabric; The festival is supported by local donations; Each year, the festival brings more than 5,000 people into town; The entire day is open to public, free of charge; The festival offers kids a chance to make art; Participants from our first year now bring their children to this event.
Imagine if the festival went away?
