Faculty solo art show at Franklin Pierce opens Friday
A solo exhibition by Franklin Pierce University faculty member Katherine Cronin will be hosted at The Thoreau Art Gallery in Peterson Manor, June 27 through Aug. 20.
An opening reception will be held Friday, June 27, from 6 to 9 p.m.
The exhibit examines the contemporary incarnation and revival of the historical Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C., and includes still digital photographs and video installation. A short lecture on the historical background of the “Chitlin’ Circuit” — the birth of soul and rock ‘n’ roll music — and the Howard Theatre will be given at 7 p.m., followed by Q&A with the artist.
This event is free and open to the public.
