‘Night of a Thousand Puppets’ fundraiser
The Mariposa Museum will host their annual spring fundraiser, “Night of a Thousand Puppets,” on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The event will culminate the silent auction of hand puppets that began on March 16. The puppets, some whimsical, some historical, some hysterical, but all creative, were made by 35 noted artists throughout the region. The puppets are on display in the Mariposa’s windows and at www.mariposamuseum.org.
Middle Eastern savories, sweets, wine and punch will be served and a smattering of surprise items will also be auctioned.
Scott Gardner, director of the new Phoenix Marionette Theater, will provide a prelude to their new production, “Aladdin and the Lamp of Dreams,” premiering on April 12.
Admission is $25 person; $40 a couple. To reserve, email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 924-4555. Profits from the fundraising event will support all of the Mariposa’s education programs.
