Art and illustration exhibit on view at the Peterborough library

An exhibit of works by professional illustrator and fine artist Matt Patterson will be on display in the Art Corner of the Peterborough Town Library in April.

Patterson remembers drawing and painting from a very young age, particularly wildlife which is reflected in his art today.

In 2009 Patterson and his father David received a contract from the University Press of New England to illustrate and write a book titled “Freshwater Fish of the Northeast.” David did the writing and Matt the illustrations.

The book was released in the spring of 2010 and won the 2010 National Outdoor Book Awards Design and Artistic Merit category.

Father and son reside in New Ipswich.

A new children’s book, “Daylight, Moonlight,” by Matt Patterson is featured in the showcase.

The exhibits are on view during regular library hours throughout April.
