Dublin Community Preschool and Childcare Center will open its annual Children’s Art Show with a free reception Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The public is invited to view children’s art created in a variety of media. Refreshments will be available and young guests can make a planting project to take home. The evening also offers an opportunity to meet the school’s teachers.

Preschool director Cathy Carabello says, “We originally created the art show in an effort to participate in the national event known as ‘The Week of the Young Child.’ It has continued to grow and celebrate children on many levels beyond their artwork.”

Visitors can support the school’s educational, enrichment and scholarship programs by participating in a silent auction and raffle featuring locally-donated items and services. Items up for bid or in the raffle include: box seats for a Boston Red Sox game, a framed art print of Mount Monadnock by Dublin photographer Sarah Chatfield-Seaver, admission to the Cheshire Children’s Museum in Keene, memberships and passes to area fitness clubs and classes, massages, gift certificates to local businesses, a free week of summer camp at the preschool, and more. Beginning in mid-April, auction items will be posted on the preschool’s Facebook page as well as the school’s website www.dublinpreschool.org.

Raffle tickets may be purchased ahead of time through the school or on the night of the event. If you would like to donate an item or pre-purchase raffle tickets, contact Cathy Carabello at 563-8508 or cathy@dublinpreschool.org.
