“Giulio Cesare” opera on Player’s big screen on April 27

The Met: Live in HD opera series will present Giulio Cesare by George Frideric Handel, to be broadcast live on the Peterborough Players big screen on Saturday at noon.

The world’s leading countertenor, David Daniels, sings the title role opposite Natalie Dessay as an irresistibly exotic Cleopatra. Baroque specialist Harry Bicket conducts.

This is the final opera of the 2012-13 series. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students.

Approximate running time is four and a half hours. To reserve tickets, call 924-7585 or visit www.peterboroughplayers.org.
