Volunteers sought  for hospice

Solamor Hospice, a leading provider of hospice care is seeking volunteers in the Milford, Peterborough, and Keene areas. Hospice volunteers will do personalized training to assist patients as well as caregivers in need of support at the end of their lives.

Some ways that hospice volunteers serve are by providing companionship, reading to patients, letter writing, bereavement support, spiritual care and vigils, pet therapy, Reikki, providing transportation, music and art therapy, office support and more. No prior volunteer experience or medical background is needed. Volunteer training begins in June.

Once trained, volunteers determine how often and what area they would like to volunteer in. Space is limited.
