Hancock writer to discuss spirituality

Divine Mercy Parish will hold the next session in its winter/spring speaker series on May 28 from 7 to 8 p.m. Mary Catherine Bateson, writer and cultural anthropologist, will discuss “From Wonder to Wisdom: Spirituality Across the Life Cycle.”

Bateson lives in Hancock and is a member of Divine Mercy Parish and a visiting scholar at Boston College’s Sloan Center for Research on Work in Retirement. Her most recent book, Composing a Further Life: The Age of Active Wisdom , appeared in 2010.

The free talk will be held at St. Peter Church, 18 Vine Street, Peterborough. It is open to the public with refreshments to follow the presentation. For more information see www.divinemercynh.org or call 924-7647.
