Civic Center seeks photographs for show

The Jaffrey Civic Center is calling for entries for the annual photography show.

Photographs can be submitted from July 23 to July 27 during regular hours. The entry fee is $25 per person, with a maximum of three entries no larger than 36-by-36 inches all ready to hang with a wire.

Each photographer may also submit three non-framed, matted and shrink-wrapped pieces for the floor portfolio. No pieces should be submitted that have been entered in previous shows or are more than three years old.

Awards of $50 for first place, $25 for second place, and an honorable mention will be presented at the end of the show as a result of the gallery attendance voting. Awards are courtesy of the Kana Riley Fund.

Previous exhibits have shown a variety of photographic styles, including black and white, color, land, sea and air scapes, still lifes, portraits, and images showing conventional and cutting edge photography techniques.

An opening reception will be held Aug. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m., with the show running through Aug. 31. Admission is free.

Forms will be available at the center and online at www.jaffreyciviccenter.com. For more information, call 532-6527 or email jaffreycntr@aol.com.
