Paintings, fairy  houses at the library

An exhibit of paintings by Shannon Stirnweis are on exhibit in the Art Corner of the Peterborough Town Library.

A graduate of the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, Calif., Stirnweis has done more than 30 books, winning book of the year for the cover for “Lonesome Dove.” He has worked for magazines such as “Outdoor Life,” “Field & Stream” and “Time.”

Since 2005 Stirnweis began doing gallery work, including historical paintings of the early West. His work is represented in numerous collections.

Fairy Houses created from nature by Regina Stirnweis are also on exhibit. Both exhibits run throughout August.
