Families, outdoors film screens Friday

The Harris Center and Cornucopia Project are hosting a screening of “Mother Nature’s Child: Growing Outdoors in the Media Age” on Friday.

This feature-length documentary explores nature’s powerful role in children’s health and development through the experiences of toddlers, children in middle childhood and adolescents. The film marks a moment in time when a living generation can still recall childhood free play outdoors — an option for too few children today. The screening is free to the public, however, donations will be accepted at the door.

The screening will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Peterborough Unitarian Universalist Church. For more information, contact the Harris Center at 525-3394 or Cornucopia Project at 784-5069.
