Mya Polochov of Antrim was selected to become a Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholar. She is one of 62 students across the country selected from 2,000 applicants, based on her grades, essays, extracurricular activities, recommendations and financial need.

The JKCYS program will provide academic advising, financial support and help her select enrichment opportunities to meet her educational goals in middle and high school. This is directed towards preparing her to attend a top college and explore passions and interests.

Polochov is an 8th grade student at Great Brook School.
