Plaza to get a new sign
PETERBOROUGH — The Monadnock Community Plaza on Route 202 South will be getting a new sign, after the Zoning Board of Adjustment last week approved a request from the plaza’s new owners to replace the existing non-conforming sign with a new one of similar size.
The Lannan Company of Nashua, which purchased the plaza in November 2013, provided plans showing a sign that would be 151⁄2 feet tall, with 15 spaces to show the names of businesses in the plaza. The current sign is 18 feet tall, and the company would be allowed to go as high as 18 feet, according to the ZBA ruling.
Current tenants in the plaza include the GFA Credit Union, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, RadioShack, The Dollar Stop, a nail salon, a laundry and four restaurants — La Mia Casa Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, Yen Yen Chinese Restaurant, Bantam Grill and Pearl Restaurant.
