Bauhan Publishing wins ‘Outstanding Book Cover’

Henry James, a designer at Bauhan Publishing of Peterborough, has won the award for Outstanding Book-Cover Design in the New Hampshire Literary Awards for Christian McEwen’s “World Enough & Time.”

This is a new category added by the New Hampshire Writer’s Project.

 Bauhan Publishing nominated the five New Hampshire connected books published between June ‘11 and May ‘13, in various categories for the Literary Awards. McEwen’s books were chosen as a finalist in the non-fiction category. Those nominated were “World Enough & Time,” by Christian McEwen for Outstanding Book of Nonfiction, “Like A Bird Flying Home,” by Walter Clark for Outstanding Book of Nonfiction, “Opening The Window,” by Leaf Seligman for Outstanding Book of Nonfiction, “Snowball The Dancing Cockatoo,” by Sy Montgomery for Outstanding Children’s Literature and “The Next Hunger,” by Kimberly Green Cloutier for Outstanding Work of Poetry.

James was nominated for all five book cover designs.

All five of the books are still eligible to win the Reader’s Choice Award via online voting at

The winner will be announced at the New Hampshire Literary Awards Ceremony on March 22 at 4:30 p.m. at the Hospitality Center, Southern New Hampshire University in Hooksett. The ceremony is free of charge.
