Mudita Yoga, located above the Toadstool Bookstore in downtown Peterborough since 2004, has expanded its scope to become Monadnock Yoga and Healing Arts. Monadnock Yoga and Healing Arts is a wellness resource dedicated to fostering individual and community health through the time honored teachings of yoga and related healing arts.

Alexandra Teague of MYAHA has been teaching and sharing yoga and wellness practices with the Monadnock community since 1998. As a longtime yoga and healing practitioner, she felt it was time to expand the range of offerings at the studio. “There is a great need for people to have the support and resources readily available to help them live healthy and fulfilling lives in this time of complexity,” she said.

For 15 years, Mudita Yoga has been promoting mind/body wellness in the Monadnock region with yoga class instruction and workshops in the Iyengar tradition, ayurvedic consultations and private instruction. Special programs held annually include “Wake Up and Live,” a month-long summer yoga immersion and “Rejuvenation Retreats” each spring and fall that combine juice fasting, restorative yoga and ayurvedic practices for self-healing.

Classes in Kripalu yoga, breath work, meditation, nutritional healing, pilates, music together, sacred dance and sound healing by experienced, certified teachers have also been available at Mudita Yoga for a number of years. MYAHA now offers additional classes and services including: energy medicine through intuitively guided 60-90 minute healing sessions; patient advocacy services to help those in need of guidance and support in making decisions about their health, and/or assistance navigating the complex healthcare and insurance systems; The Kitchen Doctor addresses how to prepare safe and effective herbal home remedies for you and your family; and Live Food Education, which provides instruction and ongoing support in how to implement the many health benefits of live foods into your lifestyle. MYAHA also offers a vetted listing of wellness and living resources and a blog where you’ll find user-friendly tips for bringing more joy and contentment into your life at
