Hyndsight Vision Systems partners with Canadian rowing supplier
Fluidesign, a manufacturer of elite rowing shells and official supplier of the Canadian National Rowing Team, has signed a deal with Hyndsight Vision Systems, with offices located at 59 Pine St., Peterborough, to begin purchasing their new camera and monitor system for rowers. According to Gord Henry, owner of Fluidesign, “We are as excited about this product as anything we’ve seen in the industry and want to include this with every rowing scull that we sell.”
Hyndsight Vision Systems, founded in 2011, developed the camera and monitor to serve an unmet need for the rowing community. Hyndsight Vision is the first product of its kind designed to assist rowers in visualizing where they are going without having to turn and look over their shoulders or wear a tiny mirror on their head.
Hyndsight Vision provides rowers with not only a clear field of vision, but also provides rowers with safety features never before provided. According to founder and CEO Melissa Thompson, “With the increase in popularity of the sport, having a way to clearly see where you are going at all times is increasingly important and one which has been of great concern for rowing officials who oversee the sport.”
