Seminar series will focus on social media
The Social Media School of New Hampshire comes to Peterborough on March 14 with a series of seminars designed to help small business owners launch or grow their social media marketing efforts. The hands-on seminars take place in the new Distance Learning Center of Conval High School.
Four seminars, one keynote, a noontime discussion, and networking time are offered on an a la carte basis. Participants can choose among the seminars or attend the entire program.
The Social Media School of New Hampshire is an extension of Halvorson New Media, a Hancock-based consultancy established by Christine Halvorson in 2006.
Seminar topics include Beginner Facebook for Business, Advanced Facebook for Business, Twitter for Business, and Using LinkedIn to Advance Your Business Goals. The keynote presentation “Social Media for Business: An Overview of Tools and Strategies” will lay the groundwork for why small businesses need social media marketing at all, with an overview of the benefits or pitfalls of each of the leading sites.
Halvorson teaches social media at Southern New Hampshire University and the University of New Hampshire-Manchester. She also develops social media content and strategies for a diverse range of clients including Monadnock Community Hospital, Stonyfield Farm, the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center, Customer Perspectives of Hooksett, and the clients of Louis Karno & Company Communications in Concord. Under the auspices of the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center, she has written two e-courses on social media, and helped develop and design three others.
Each seminar is $45, with discounts for attending more than one. The full program costs $150. For more information, call 603-203-0593. Register at checkthis.com/smsnhpeterborough
