Nurse midwife joins Cheshire Medical

Kayla Cushner, CNM, MSN, joins the Department of Women’s Health at Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene.

As a nurse midwife, Cushner provides care for women through their life spans, guiding them through pregnancy and birth, performing annual exams, and addressing health care needs relating to contraception, nutrition, bone health and menopause.

Cushner holds a Master of Science degree in Nursing with a certified nurse-midwifery concentration from Yale School of Nursing in New Haven, Conn., and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. She has completed clinical rotations in Integration and Advanced Midwifery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, the Women’s Center at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and Planned Parenthood of Southern New England in Stamford, Conn.

Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene is a nonprofit community hospital and clinic.
