FastRoads signs contract with communications firm

BayRing Communications of Portsmouth and New Hampshire FastRoads of Keene signed a network access agreement, bringing a commercial regional service provider onto the New Hampshire FastRoads network. This move will offer fiber to the premises service, creating more options for businesses and communities throughout 19 towns in Cheshire, Sullivan and Grafton counties. BayRing has been a source for customers who want advanced technology and cutting edge solutions for voice, data and cloud-based services.  

BayRing has been a provider of telecom services in New England for over 15 years. The gigabit FastRoads fiber to the premises network coupled with BayRing’s experience and their optical network, will translate in to phone, Internet and cloud-based service 365 days per year. BayRing has an extensive fiber optic network spanning Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

FastRoads is an LLC under Monadnock Economic Development Corporation in Keene. With funding provided by the N.H. Community Development Finance Authority, the Department of Commerce - Broadband Technology Opportunity Program, a consortium of local community banks, N.H. Business Finance Authority and others, a regional 247 mile fiber-optic network has been built in western New Hampshire to deliver gigabit broadband to community anchor institutions, businesses, and residents. Initially, The FastRoads network will provide fiber-based broadband services to homes in Rindge and Enfield, New Hampshire and over 237 community anchor institutions in southwest New Hampshire. FastRoads is an open access last-mile wholesale provider to broadband service providers. Open access ensures competitive pricing and excellent quality. FastRoads’ goal is to ensure that the region’s businesses, institutions and residents have the right infrastructure to support jobs and sustainable economic development.
