Broadband plan to be discussed

The Southwest Region Planning Commission and Southwest Broadband Stakeholder Group will co-sponsor the Monadnock Region Broadband Forum on Wednesday at the Historical Society of Cheshire County in Keene. Registration will begin at 6 p.m.

Commission staff and members will present an overview of the Southwest Region’s draft broadband plan, including proposed goals, objectives, and strategies for addressing broadband availability and adoption within the region. The forum is also an opportunity for the public to provide feedback on the plan and to learn about next steps for the planning process. This forum and draft plan are part of the commission’s work on the N.H. Broadband Mapping and Planning Program, which is an effort aimed at gaining a better understanding of broadband in the region and to plan for increased broadband adoption and utilization in the future.
