Therapist opens office on Grove Street downtown

Ross W. Davidson, a licensed clinical mental health counselor, originally from San Francisco, California, has hung his shingle in Peterborough. Doing business as Building Blocks Child and Adult Psychotherapy,

LLC, Davidson meets with both adults and children to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, personality disorders and substance abuse issues.

Utilizing a client-centered approach, Davidson draws from many different schools of psychology in order to individualize treatment for every client. Children are helped utilizing projective play therapy, sand tray therapy and art therapy. For adults, Davidson employs humanistic psychology, psychodynamic approaches, gestalt therapy techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy, transpersonal psychology and dialectical behavioral therapy, all of which are evidence-based practices.

His office is located at 20 Grove St. on the second floor in the downtown. Davidson shares office space with the psychologists and clinical social workers at Peterborough Clinical Associates.

Davidson has teaching experience as well as 10 years of psychotherapy experience. He currently provides psychotherapy and case management services at Greater Nashua Mental Health Center at Community Council in Nashua.
