Operation Santa: The many helpers
To the editor:
Rindge Woman’s Club’s Operation Santa was a great success again this Christmas because of many generous people and organizations. Residents took 300-plus tags, purchased clothing and toys for 31 families and 75 children.
Rindge Walmart and TD Bank provided space for trees. Special thanks for monetary donations from P.O.O.R, Rindge Police Association, J-R Rotary, Market Basket employees, RAMS, Phyllis Groezinger, Theodore Coverts, the Janocks, Rindge Wal-Mart employees and several anonymous donors. FPU’s staff and students donated socks, books and toys. John and Lynda Hunt, Steven and Terry Shell and FPU’s Accounting Department each adopted a family.
GFA Federal Credit Union customers and staff donated toys; SAU 47 staff bought and wrapped requested items, and Summerhill Assisted Living residents wrapped games.
Thanks to the Operation Santa committee: Sarah Dengler; Polly Mellin; Ronalee Hietala, Deb Qualey and Victoria Jensen. Jim John and Dave DuVernay did the heavy lifting.
