In team events, every Mascenic relay team set personal bests. The girls medley relay took 6th place (2:36.84); the girls free relay took 5th place (2:14.77); the boys medley relay landed in 4th place (2:26.91), and the boys free relay ended up in 3rd place (2:04.10).
Mascenic will next swim at the state meet on Feb. 15 at 4:30 p.m. at UNH. Briana Boulerice has qualified in five events: 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 Backstroke and 100 Breaststroke.
“At the state meet, swimmers are only allowed to swim in two individual events, so we’ll need to decide which two individual events she will compete in,” Mascenic coach Andrea Sbona said. “With Briana qualifying, we can all bring three other girls team members to compete in the relay races. We will also need to decide which 2 of the 3 relay races (200 medley, 200 freestyle, or 400 freestyle) we will compete in.”
