Jaffrey police log: Feb. 6, 2014
Thursday, Jan. 30
Arrest: At 12:35 a.m., as the result of a traffic stop for a defective headlight, Dominic Shea, 18, of Bridgewater, Mass., was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled/narcotic drug, believed to be marijuana. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a March 6 court date.
Friday, Jan. 31
Accident: At 1:49 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle accident on River Street. April Seneschal, 34, of Jaffrey was attempting to make a right turn with the right directional on, according to police reports. David Reardon, 50, of Jaffrey was following behind Seneschal’s vehicle and did not see she was preparing to turn. Reardon’s vehicle struck the rear quarter panel of Seneschal’s vehicle, resulting in heavy front-end damage to his vehicle and minor damage to her vehicle.
Saturday, Feb. 1
Arrest: At 8:50 a.m., as the result of a traffic stop for driving an uninspected vehicle, Joseph Langley, 21, of Jaffrey was arrested and charged for driving after revocation or suspension. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a March 6 court date.
Arrest: At 1 p.m. while on patrol, police observed Johna L. Oneil, 30, of Jaffrey driving out of the high school parking lot. The officer ran a check on her and found that her driver’s license was still under suspension. She was issued a must appear summons for operating after suspension and given a March 6 court date.
Arrest: At 2:23 p.m., a Jaffrey resident went to the police station to report that she had been assaulted by a family member. She stated that they got into an argument over him doing chores, and during the argument he punched her in the chin. Raymond Gryseels, 19, of Jaffrey was arrested and charged with simple assault. He was released on $1,500 personal recognizance, with a March 6 court date.
Accident: At 3:20 p.m., police responded to Turnpike Road near Perry Road for a two-vehicle accident. Jody Ojala, 48, of New Ipswich was driving westbound and Bradley Brock, 50, of New Ipswich was traveling eastbound, police said. Brock reportedly fell asleep at the wheel and drifted into the westbound lane, striking Ojala’s vehicle. Ojala complained of minor injuries to her left arm. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
Monday, Feb. 3
Arrest: At 6:10 a.m., as the result of a motor vehicle stop, police learned from the driver, Roy Funari, 60, of Jaffrey, that his driver’s license had expired in 1992 after a doctor recommended he have his license taken away due to disability. He was issued a must appear summons for operating without a valid license and given a March 6 court date in the 8th Circuit Court Jaffrey.
