Man faces fondling charges
Following a report from the Merrimack County Advocacy Center, police arrested an Antrim man, charging him with three counts of forcible fondling sexual assault.
Police arrested Max Wilson, 69, of Antrim at his Concord Street residence on Jan. 30 on the three misdemeanor sexual assault charges. The alleged victim was between the age of 13 and 16, Det. Jason Lepine said in an interview Wednesday. The alleged instances took place on Dec. 28, 29 and 30.
Wilson was held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections in lieu of $75,000 cash bail only, $25,000 for each charge, Lepine said. He was arraigned on Friday at the Concord District Court, where a judge lowered cash bail to $50,000, Lepine said. Still unable to make bail, police transported Wilson back to the jail. A pretrial has been scheduled for Feb. 20 at the 6th Circuit Court, Hillsborough, according to New Hampshire District Court staff on Wednesday. A trial has not been scheduled, yet.
Lepine said he will pursue additional charges, felonies, for Wilson at his trial.
