Support for Bruins Alumni Classic
To the Editor:
On Feb. 9, the Crotched Mountain Wild skated against the Boston Bruins Alumni to benefit Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center’s Accessible Recreation and Sports program (CMARS) at the Sullivan Arena at Saint Anselm College. The $27,000 raised will support accessible recreational activities for people of all abilities living in this community.
Thanks to Crotched Mountain Wild team members who played a great game and raised funds: Tony Parisi, Tim Hogue, Mark Leger, Reuben Lyons, Harry Payne, Kit Rautio, Joshua Sipe, Scott Tucker, Stan Newsham, Brent Patterson, Parker Wheeler, Dr. Bryan Hoertdoerfer, Courtney McKay, Michael Potito, and Leon Watkins.
Thank you to major local sponsors Bank of New Hampshire and New Boston Pizza, as well as the many Monadnock region businesses and individuals who supported the players through generous sponsorships.
Thanks to Crotched Mountain Ski & Ride for providing adaptive snow sports programs in partnership with CMARS.
Thanks to the Monadnock region fans who cheered on our team and their favorite Bruins legends.
Finally, thanks to Crotched Mountain School graduate, Joe Gilbert, who dropped the ceremonial puck. This community-wide support will provide countless hours of accessible skiing, kayaking, cycling, hiking and other sports in this region.
