Pysanky Eggs exhibited at Civic Center
An exhibit of Pysanky Eggs by Susie Choate will be on exhibit in the first-floor display cases at the Jaffrey Civic Center from April 4 through May 1.
Choate has been an avid artist all her life in forms consisting of basic pencil drawing, acrylic and oil painting, colored pencils, etc., but it was not until 2008 when she found her true passion in Pysanky.
Pysanky is now a major part of her daily activities. She combines both traditional and non-traditional designs into her pieces and her art has been featured in local newspapers, Australian Egg Artist Magazine, New Hampshire magazine and is on display and sold at the Sharon Arts Gallery.
She has taught the art in classes at the Mariposa Museum.
Center hours are Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesdays through Fridays, 1 to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
