David Mallett performing Friday

Singer/songwriter David Mallett will be performing at DelRossi’s Trattoria on Friday at 8:30 p.m.

In a career that spans four decades, Mallet’s music has traveled to all corners of the world, his songs have been recorded by more than 150 artists, including Pete Seeger, Alison Krauss, John Denver, Emmylou Harris, and the Muppets, and his “Garden Song” has become an American folk classic.

Just a man and his guitar on stage, his music is an historical journey through farms and fields, tough times, loss, and love.

The songs Mallett writes and sings are filled with passion, evocative imagery, and a sense of the inevitable passage of time. He has recorded 12 albums and published two books and shows no sign of slowing down as his performance, full of energy, power, and emotion, attest.
