Friday, May 2

Assist: At 2:34 p.m., police assisted rescue workers at Southfield Village. A man with back issues was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital by ambulance.

Saturday, May 3

Assault report: At 11:52 a.m., a Jaffrey resident told police he had been verbally threatened and assaulted at Adams Playground by another man. No one was injured. Police are investigating.

Sunday, May 4

Arrest: At 11:45 p.m., following a traffic stop on Granite Street of a vehicle with a defective headlight, police arrested Christopher Nutting, 24, of Peterborough and charged him with operating after suspension. Nutting was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a June 9 court date in 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey.

Monday, May 5

Accident: At 11:53 p.m., Judith Hallquist, 47, of Peterborough reported that she had been stopped at the stop sign on Hunt Road at the intersection with Route 202 when a pick-up truck in front of her backed into her vehicle. Hallquist’s 1995 Chevrolet Blazer had minor damage. The truck, a 2008 Ford F350 driven by Robert Compton, 57, of Deering, was not damaged. No one was injured.

Tuesday, May 6

Accident: At 3:32 p.m., a 2014 Kia Forte driven by Frances Varnum, 65, of Antrim was stopped at the stop sign on Granite Street at the Route 101 intersection when it was rear-ended by a 2003 Suzuki Aerio driven by Elaine Draper, 62, of Fitzwilliam, Both vehicles had minor bumper damage and were driven away.

Wednesday, May 7

Criminal mischief: At 8:50 a.m., a Peterborough resident reported his truck tire had been slashed while it was parked behind Reynolds Hall on Concord Street.
