Nelson dance moving to Heberton Hall

The Nelson Monday Night Contra Dance will be moving to Keene for the summer while the Nelson Town Hall undergoes a significant renovation.

Beginning June 9, the dance will be held at Heberton Hall next to the Keene Public Library. Admission is $3 and volunteer musicians and dance callers will provide teaching and entertainment as usual.

The dance will return to Nelson when the Town Hall renovation is complete, anticipated for mid-August in time for Old Home Day.

The Nelson dance has been held every Monday for the past 33 years. The dance is well known for its community spirit, volunteer performers and excellent cookies. Dancers of all ages and backgrounds come from near and far, and visitors are always welcome.
