Thanks for making event possible
To the editor:
The organizers of the Bennington Rhubarb Festival send their thanks and appreciation to all the individuals who helped to make this year’s event a success. Contributing baked goods were Robyn Manley, Linda Osienski, Sandy Cleary, David McKenzie and Leslie MacGregor. The judges of our bake-off were Joe MacGregor, Steve Osienski and David Buris.
We are grateful to these local businesses for donating to our raffle basket: Taste o’ Texas, Sei Bella Salon, Rick and Diane’s, and Edmunds’ Hardware. Janette Regis and David Buris organized the Family Fun Storybook Run. Library Director Leslie MacGregor, Assistant Librarian Melissa Searles, Trustee Jill Wilmoth, alternate Trustee David McKenzie, and Peter Eppig helped in many ways. Thanks to the people who helped to set up the tents. The crafters, James McGuire, Ann Leger and Jackie Filiault, and Jocelyn Drew the Face Painter helped make the event more lively. And a special thanks to the Ledger-Transcript for providing publicity. Proceeds of the festival go to the GEP Dodge Building Fund and we look forward to next year’s rhubarb crop.
