Francestown police logs: July 3, 2014


Friday, June 13

Animal control: At 6:45 p.m., a Peterborough resident reported their dog may be running at-large in Francestown.

Wednesday, June 18

Burglary: At 9 a.m., police responded to Dennison Pond Road to investigate a possible burglary. A building was entered by force, however it appeared nothing had been taken.

Assist: At 2:31 p.m., Francestown police and Greenfield police assisted Francestown Fire Department with a car fire on Bible Hill Road. The vehicle was a total loss.

Friday, June 20

Lost hikers: At 8:28 p.m., four 15-year-old hikers in the Francestown Forest reported to police that they had become disoriented and lost. The hikers were not in any physical distress. Police picked up the hikers on a logging road near Francestown Fire and Rescue, and returned them to their parents.

Welfare check: At 10:50 p.m., police performed a welfare check on a resident on East Road.

Saturday, June 21

Alarm: At 8:30 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Scoby Road.

Sunday, June 22

Manner of operation: At 1:21 p.m., police received a report of a vehicle driving through a stop sign and almost hitting the complainant.

Wednesday, June 25

Complaint: At 11:30 a.m., police received a compliant from a Scoby Point Lane property owner about the private road. It was reported that someone had attempted to do maintenance on the road that will actually cause damage to it. Police explained the road is private and maintenance is up to the property owners and is not a town issue.

Thursday, June 26

911 hang up: At 1:50 p.m., police responded to a 911 hang up on Mountain Road. The officer found there was no emergency.
