The Cougars arrived at Swanzey Center with an array of players ranging from incoming freshman to seniors with the idea of getting an inside look at what has allowed the team to celebrate a state championship sandwiched between a pair of semifinal game appearances.

The mixed bag of Cougars proved to much for the Huskies, but the most interesting storyline may have centered around the matchup between longtime Cougar head coach Jim Coppo and his daughter Hannah, a Husky eighth-grade pitcher. The lefty held the Cougars scoreless in her two innings of work.

ConVal hurler Brittni Doyle held the Huskies to three hits in the complete game effort. The Cougars worked a mix of long ball and their patented short game to pull out a 14-5 win.

Each team will return to action next on July 29 at Monadnock Regional High School.
