Locals in furniture exhibit

“Furniture Masters: Artistic Visions,” an exhibit by 16 members of N.H. Furniture Masters, will be on view at 127 Newbury St., Boston, beginning Aug. 1.

Jere Osgood of Wilton and Bill Thomas of Rindge are two of the furniture masters whose works are being represented in the exhibit. Pieces in the exhibition reflect the distinctive styles of each maker and range from Early American and Shaker to contemporary and art furniture.

A First Friday public opening will be held Aug. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m., and an artists’ reception will be held Thursday, Aug. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. Exhibit hours will be Monday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Aug. 15. Admission is free.
