Sheehan returns to Town House

Concert and cabaret singer Jennifer Sheehan will be joined by four New York musicians for the planetary debut of “STARDUST — A Night in the Cosmos” at the Peterborough Town House on Sunday, Aug. 10, at 7:30 p.m.

This show will feature a variety of songs and stories about our universe.

Sheehan has become a highly sought-after new voice in the concert and cabaret world. She has performed for audiences in venues from coast-to-coast and in the U.K., including Carnegie Hall, Cafe Carlyle, Feinsteins at Lowes Regency, 54 Below, Ely Cathedral in England, The Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis, and many concerts at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

She already has performed to Peterborough audiences with her cabaret shows “I Know A Place” (a showcase of songs from the 1960s) and “The American Songbook.” The band includes James Followell, pianist and music director; Steve Bargonetti, guitar; Jered Egan, bass; and Dan Gross on percussion.

Prior to the concert, people are invited to picnic on the lawn between the Town House and the Monadnock Center for History and Culture. Picnic baskets will be catered by Sunflowers Restaurant if ordered by Aug. 8 with baskets being delivered to the Town House by 6 p.m.

To order a basket, call 593-3303.

Admission is $30. Tickets may be ordered online at ElectricEarthConcerts.org, or by calling 646-522-3352.
