Dollar  General plans revised

NEW IPSWICH — Dollar General is returning to town with an updated proposal for a newly constructed store in town. The company will present revised plans to the Zoning Board of Adjustment tonight.

Dollar General, represented by the Zaremba Program Development Group, will submit plans for a 9,100- square-foot Dollar General store to be built at the location of the former Central Elementary School. The Zaremba Group withdrew plans for the New Ipswich store in June. According to the Planning Board Secretary Joanna Meshna, the plans have been reworked and resubmitted to the Zoning Board. The site plan is available for viewing at the town offices.

The ZBA will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the town offices, with the Zaremba Group scheduled to present at 9 p.m. Dollar General also has a proposal pending in Bennington. Dollar General representatives are scheduled to continue a public hearing of the site plans before the Planning Board on Nov. 18 in the Bennington Town Hall at 7 p.m. An application is also expected to be presented to Jaffrey planners in November.
