Two RiverMead employees win scholarships

Two RiverMead Retirement Community employees have been awarded the New Hampshire Long Term Care Foundation Scholarship for New Hampshire Caregivers.

The recipients are Shelby Paige, an LNA who will be attending Rivier College to obtain a bachelor of science in nursing to become a registered nurse. The other recipient is Abigail Nichols, an LNA will be attending Saint Joseph School of Nursing to become an LPN.

The New Hampshire Long Term Care Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization that was established to promote the care and wellness of New Hampshire’s elderly citizens through the educational development of long-term care providers and individual caregivers. To be eligible for these scholarships, recipients must be employed by a skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility or other residential health care facility located in New Hampshire. The individuals chosen have demonstrated their commitment to long-term care, their dedication to their careers and their desire to pursue a higher education. Paige and Nichols were chosen along with 29 other recipients.
